Our solution has been tested by The Danish Institute of Fire and Security (DBI) and is developed in cooperation with Technological Institute (TI), as part of a EUPD project focusing on energy efficient solutions for residential buildings.

What is the Cleaning speed?

Up to 5 meters per second. Depending on task

What is the Coating speed?

20 meters/hour. Depending on task

What is the waiting time before the system can be turned back on?

Approximately 10-15 minutes. The coating does not need to be dry.

What is the waiting time before ducts can be re-coated (at 20 degrees C)

24 hours. We always inspect the system 24 hours after coating, to ensure and document the quality. The system can be re-coated after 24 hours if more than one layer is needed

What is the recommended wet film thickness?

215 µm (=120 µm dry film thickness). Total recommended consumption for optimal protection (VentGuard SC50): 400 g/m2 = 120 µm dry film thickness).

What is the minimum size/maximum?

The smallest we can clean, and coat is 70mm. Standard sizes below. If you have specific measurements in mind, please let us know and we will find a solution that fits your need.

What materials can the coating be used on?

Concrete, plastic, stainless steel, and galvanized/ungalvanized are the most common material for us to work on. But the coating can be used on any surface, if it is not too porous. To ensure adhesion surfaces should always be clean and free of dirt, dust, rust etc. prior to coating.

Which kind of system can this coating be used?

We only recommend our solution for use in ventilation ducts at this stage. But we see a great potential for using it in other systems, therefore we are constantly developing our solution.

What is the durability of coating for chlorine/chemical resistance?

We are continuously developing and testing our coating in cooperation with Technological Institute in Copenhagen. The results we have is very positive and show that VentGuard SC50, can withstand chlorine and chemicals ph range 3-12. We have used our solution in industrial buildings (where the ducts are exposed to for example chlorine or potassium hydroxide) for the last five years. To this date the coating is holding up, with no deterioration in the coating.
